Leah sighed as she closed the cabinet door in the infirmary at the SOLDIER outpost. SInce vampire attacks were becoming sparse, she was worried that all of their medical supplies were going to waste so she needed to make sure that nothing was past its expiry date and that the bandages were still intact. To her pleasant surprise, everything was in order but she just wanted to check one last thing. She circled the room with her eyes, just to be sure no one was watching, before kneeling down next to one of the infirmary beds. She reached under with both hands and the sounds of velcro scraping apart filled the silence of the outpost. She then pulled a long wooden box out from under the bed which she opened to find that it held her katana and her semi-automatic pistol. She lifted them both out of the box, examining them carefully to see if they needed to be cleaned. But again, all things seemed to be in order. She sighed and placed everything back in its original place before securing the box back under the bed with the leather straps. This was worrying. Everything was too quiet, it had never been like this. Surely something was coming soon but... Leah shook her head to stop herself from worrying too much. "Perhaps I just need a bit of a walk," she said quietly to herself before heading out. She quickly grabbed a little brown bag which contained a small first aid kit before leaving the outpost. She roamed the streets of the town, resisting the urge to look down every dark corner just to find one of those blood suckers. She couldn't stop herself from worrying that something was going to happen and the worry was beginning to show on her face. She had a strange feeling like something was near but was even more frightened at the fact that she was unarmed. She patted at her side, just to make sure she had her bag with her at least but in the moment of distraction, she accidentally bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry," she said quietly and out of embarrassment.
