I'm very much interested, would you consider creatures that are semi-magical for the Canavars?
Empusa, basilisk etc just without their 'power' as it were? 
Funnily enough my first idea was of a desert snake or some kind of jungle cat. :) 
I'm rather keen to start playing around with character ideas.
