There was another carving on the tree; but this time, it was carved with long, pointy fingernails. The world hasn't been as brighter since Chase's transformation, and she hated every single minute of her undead life. No heartbeat, no thrive, just a intense craving for human blood- that's it. Another immortal day living, is another day wasted. Even though, this is her second day as a newly transformed vampire. The carvings on the wall were lines; which represented the number of days she and her boyfriend, Alex, had been apart from the earth. The more she tread amongst this forest in her own backyard, the more she has the memories of her and Alex's adventures here- ever since they were children. They were childhood sweethearts, a bud growing into a beautiful flower; but the pedals slowly wilted two days ago. Alex was murdered, and Chase was spared. The Blood Compact was severed by treason, and SOLDIER are on the loose to wipe them away from further damage. But is Chase prone to hurt anybody? Even Chase doesn't know; since her first kill, her first blood-drinking joyride, was a SOLDIER operative. She's not only afraid of herself, but also afraid of SOLDIER- who would avenge their comrade's death. So that was why Chase hid in this forest. It was a sanctuary of protection, and an environment full of her childhood memories. It was her home, and she intended to stay here forever. However, muffling sounds of unrecognizable people gave her the curiousity to venture outside the woods; but she fears that death will be there, waiting for its preemptive strike. But if she dies, she will reunite with Alex; so there was nothing to lose. After clawing a long line on Chase's favorite oak tree, she stood up from her squatting position and adjusted her wintry scarf around her neck. She loved the wintertime, so she always dresses herself in an all cozy-like apparel. With a deep breath, she walked by the oak tree, and strolled a couple of yards until she reached the outside world. She placed one foot in front of the other, light pouring down on her. It was a relief that she didn't burn, since she was stick inside the darkness. Her eyes scrolled the city-like neighborhood, and she felt something odd inside. She can smell someone, how could a human, or any other creature, have a specific smell at a half mile radius away? Finding the owner of the smell, she gasped. She then covered her mouth with her mittens, as she saw a human with... a vampire? The man was equipped with weapons, and probably equipped with the skills of combat. But, what was the vampire doing with the SOLDIER? Are all vampires not evil? The confusion racked up her mind. Can she greet a single person in this city and be treated as a being? Or will she be gunned down by the bruisers of the resistance? Without figuring it out, she watches the two from afar- seeing if they could provide the answer for her.
