i havent set a fixed date yet, but with the class of ship we will be using it would have to be after 2364. I guess i could set a date now :P just a sec while i pop over to memory alpha....

.... ok so i think the best year to set it in will be 2375, the year after Voyager made contact with Star Fleet after being lost in the Delta Quadrant. I might change the direction of travel from the Gamma Quadrant, to the Delta Quadrant in response to the threat of the Borg.

I intend on keeping everything as close to canon as possible, even tho the mission we will be undertaking never happened.
