Landon, earlier that day, had decided to unwind at the Dunkin' Donuts that he had found himself going to more and more. After ordering his usual black coffee, he was sitting at one of the tables by himself, taking small, occasional sips from his coffee and absently scrolling through messages or Tweets on his phone. It had been about three weeks since Kaelyn left to go piece her life together with her mom. He was expecting her to return any day now. He really wasn't all that anxious about it, either. He had a lot of time to mentally prepare himself for that day. As if one cue, an unknown pair of hands came from behind him and covered his eyes. Suppressing his fight-or-flight instinct to turn around and bitch slap whoever was behind him, Landon calmly smiled as he recognized the familiar voice. "I was just thinking about you," Landon said, taking her hands away from his eyes. He stood up to face her directly. She looked... good. Well, she always was cute, but now she looked healthier, happier. "I'm glad you're back." He reached forward and pulled her into a close hug. It felt like it had been ages since he had seen her. It was nice to be able to talk to her again.
