There's also the fact that Esther seems pretty interested in witchcraft and other "forbidden" subjects, particularly that Dagger of Eternal Life thing. Abaddon knows plenty on the subject of the dark arcane to be sure, so there might be some more redeeming qualities for him in her eyes xD.
