[b]“I would imagine we would have to travel this long journey together, so such behavior would certainly bring nothing but misery.”[/b]

At the sudden commanding voice, both dwarf and boy immediately shut up. They looked at the new face with wide eyes and Setna’s hands dropped the dwarf to his feet. They glanced at each other, a dark glare of annoyance before taking in the new stranger as he introduced himself to be Elrithos Quicksilver.

As Elrithos extended his hand, Rudolf shook it eagerly. “An Aavikanian! I can smell the desert on you, what an honor it is to have you join me on this journey! Your help will be most necessary as we cross your deserts!”

Setna glared at the back of the dwarf’s head, who was suddenly showing nothing but respect. [i]Really? Perverted old dwarf…[/i]

Setna’s dark eyes took in the new stranger and he tilted his head. Elrithos was certainly…different. Setna had never seen a person dressed in such a way before, but as the teenager noticed the man’s weapons he was surprised to see a hand extended toward him as well. Setna looked at it cautiously for a second, before looking up at the man’s grass green eyes. Slowly, the teenager shook the elf’s hand and then let it drop.

Removing himself from the situation, he returned to his sister’s side. Serna gave him a disapproving look and Setna just shrugged it off, looking away stubbornly. 

It wasn’t long before another stranger showed up. Both Setna and Serna looked over to the new addition. He was tall, covered in armor and leather and straps. He didn’t look quite as strange as the Elrithos fellow and he came up to everyone with a smile, but Serna found herself slipping her hand into her brother’s. 

Just as the tall man showed up, two more followed suit, a man side by side with a small white haired girl. Setna sat up a bit straight upon seeing the small girl, who was incredibly pretty yet strange looking. Her ears were pointed like an elf and she was covered in pretty jewelry and make up. It was hard to tell exactly what she was. Both twins turned silent as their eyes shifted to all the new faces. They had never interacted with this many diverse people. How exactly were they supposed to act?

Setna squeezed his sister’s hand as his shoulders grew tense. 

However, Rudolf was again unabashed. His squinty eyes took in the new men with disapproval, but slight regard. He lit up however upon seeing the young elf looking girl, and did not stop himself from making himself acquainted.

“What a lovely young miss!” The old dwarf took her small hands in his rough ones. “I am honored to be a witness to such a pretty face! Come, come introduce yourselves.”
His eyes shifted to the other two men who had shown up as well, his face showed his slight disappointment. “And I suppose I should hear your names as well.”
