It's an unavoidable, undodgeable, OHKO. Use it--at least one Enemy is now your obedient slave. Order them to commit suicide. Victory. Mind Control of Servants is [i]bad[/i]. The energy required to force a command can also teleport them right the way across a city in an instant. It's... not good.

Addendum: the NP's are independent of the Gate, as he keeps Ea in there too. He owns so much stuff he has a place to store it.
