It was uncomfortable to know that Tony was on the other side of the one way mirror but she couldn’t be happier that she didn’t have to see him; it was less encouragement to have him talk to her. She didn’t want to deal with him right now, especially working with chemicals. She grumbled something that barely resembled a hello as she continued to work, her eyes narrowed in a glare as she pulled the blue liquid out of the vial. Her body jumped slightly as she heard the mention of Captain America and her attention turned upwards even though she could only see her blonde hair and blue eyes in the reflection of the mirror. Nah, he wouldn’t be coming in here. No way. As her attention moved back on her work, she was carefully counting the drops before she heard the door bust open and a larger figure enter the room. The whole place seemed to change at his presence and there was no doubt that Captain America had just entered the room. She stopped in her counting and debated sprinting to the door but she still had seven more drops she needed to do and then she’d have to throw it in another container and time the boiling. The counting continued as the conversation continued outside of the little room she was in she did her best to ignore it and as she poured the contains of her counting she heard the Captain tell her to keep up the door work and her heart nearly exploded out of her chest. She started the timer and ran to the door only to pull it open just in time to see the shield disappear out of the door and down the hallway. “What’s with the disappointed look Miss Carter?” Tony said in a sarcastic manner holding his arms out in an inviting way. “I’m still here.” “That’s a good reason to be disappointed.” She smarted back in an annoyed tone as her gaze moved to the door. She had to watch the timer before she turned off the burner so she couldn’t go after him. Without saying another word to the men, she turned around and went back into her little room in disappointment. Really? She had a chance to meet him and then he was gone. But! He told her to keep up the good work!! That counts for something. She turned off the burner after the alarm went off and came back out to hand the instructions to Bruce. “Here you are, I’ve got a few more things of paperwork to work out.” With that he gave him a nod and a smile before nodding, and only nodding to Tony before walking out. She needed to get away from those men. ---- Down in the café area, the blonde grabbed herself a tray and began to make herself something to eat, her late night with Steve made her miss breakfast in the morning but it was worth it. There was a twinkle in the blonde eyes as she made her plate only to feel another presence next to her. “Someone looks happy.” Black Widow said as she grabbed her own plate. “I had a date yesterday.” “NO!” “Yes!” “Someone had fun I can tell.” Black Widow said with a laugh. “I did, he was such a gentleman and so sweet but shy at the same time. It was adorable, we went around the city, he bought me dinner and we went back to my place and cuddled watching a movie with a dessert.” “Dessert?” Black Widow repeated in a playful manner as she grabbed a milk. “I made apple pie!” She said with a laugh as she grabbed a bagel and some cream cheese and turned starting towards the table only to have her friend follow her closely. “But I keep missing the Captain, it’s really saddening. Today he came into Bruce’s lab but I was in another room so I could just hear him. He did, however, tell me that I should keep up the good work. I swear, that made my day!” Black Widow rolled her eyes as she sat down across from Agent 13. “Listen 13, you’re not missing out on much. He’s a nice guy and the symbol of the country but if you know the stories than you know him. He’s a rather open book when it comes to things. Except relationships, that is something he has no clue about. Poor guy still doesn’t have a girlfriend.” A laugh left Agent 13 as she put the cream cheese on her bagel. “Not everyone needs a partner to be happy, it’s nice but not needed.” “Says the woman who’s overly excited about her date yesterday.” “I am not overly excited…. Okay maybe I am acknowledgement from the Captain helped too!” She said with a laugh. The women continued to talk down in the cafeteria; why? Because they’re women and they love to gossip.
