"You wanted to see me." Steve Rogers stood in front of Nick Fury's desk yet again. He was leaning back, looking at the man in front of him with one eye, as if debating whether to say something or not. "I may have lost some information of the files you retrieved for me. Luckily, I downloaded all the information before I lost them..." He looked up at him again. "The last time I saw them they were around your locker..." He said very casually, giving a nod. Steve understood, giving a nod. "Thank you." Steve said, meaning it. It would be very nice to read up on what he missed on people he used to know. "You been enjoying your days off?" He asked again casually. Steve was already turned around, eager to leave to retrieve the files. "Yeah, its been good. Went to see the Statue of Liberty, ate some pie... got a new neighbor." Steve said just as casually. Why was he telling him all this? They weren't really friends... Maybe he was saying it because he was very excited that he found a woman that he felt was honest, and sweet, and beautiful inside and out. "New neighbor? You meet the person yet?" Steve hesitated, then nodded. "Yeah. I helped her move some boxes in." Typical Rogers, Fury thought to himself with a nod. "Glad to see you're making some new friends." Fury said to him, but not wanting Agent 13 to be too close to Rogers... He was going to have to ask her what happened on her first day under cover. ------------- "Its so weird seeing it up close..." "My grandpa said he fought along side him. Best man he ever met, he said." A group of S.H.I.E.L.D. employees stood staring at the iconic uniform, clearly desk jockeys who never saw the man in action. Steve quietly walked in, smirking a bit at the sight, and them talking about the living legend. "Excuse me, guys." Steve said nicely, squeezing through the people to get to his locker. the room went quiet as Steve did his code, and opened the case. In the side shelf were a group of folders. He took them, and turned to see the people still staring at him. "You guys alright?" He asked. all nodded. "Y-yes, Cap--Sir. We just haven't seen you in person before. We're stuck in our offices..." One said with an embarrassing smile. Steve nodded. "Well you guys are the reason the missions go smoothly. I appreciate what you guys do." Steve said honestly with a nod, patting one on the back. "Keep up the good work." ------------------- Steve walked out of the elevator, to find himself hungry. He hadn't eaten all day. Still holding his folders he stepped in to the cafeteria, only stopping in to get something then going back home to do some reading... "Hey, Steve!" yelled a familiar voice. Black Widow, or Natashia, called his name. He worked with her on a lot of missions, and although she was a great spy, he didn't really know yet if she had her morals in the right place. There were many times when they would argue on how they should complete a step in the plan... He was also Steve's second kiss. it meant nothing to him, and nothing to her. They were undercover, and to not be spotted, she planted a kiss on him. He was caught off guard, and therefore didn't really know how to kiss back... Natashia would often tease him about it, saying he "kissed like 90 year old man"... that didn't really help his confidence in dating. As he turned around to say hi he felt someone bump in to him, and the tray went down to the floor. He immediately sank below the crowd to help the person. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking an-- Oh... I'm so sorry Captain." The woman said, the last part a bit flirty. "It's no problem, I shouldn't have been standing in the middle of everything." Steve said with a smile, then looking back down at the mess when he realized the look he gave him. He had no interest in the woman.... The only girl he could think about (besides Peggy) was Sharon, and he wasn't planning on seeing her here any time soon. He stood up, more eager to leave than ever, not really caring that Black Widow called for him. She did have his personal number, after all (She hacked in to S.H.I.E.L.D. to get it... it was a bet her and Stark had). He grabbed a couple of bagels, and quickly made his way out of the cafeteria, folders still with him, he climbed on his motorcycle and drove back to his apartment.
