Speaking as a Catholic here: not all of us are here to force our beliefs on you, make you believe that evolution is a lie and that all homosexuals should be lynched. And no, I'm not the only one, either. Everyone in my church that I actually know well is a decent human being who also fits in pretty well with society. Hell, the priest at my church has occasionally even spoken [i]during mass[/i] about subjects such of these in a rather insightful way - saying that science and religion can actually come together quite beautifully and don't have to contradict each other, and that we shouldn't ban all abortions if there are women that we're hurting in the process. 

I may be overreacting a bit here: but I just felt it fair to point out that I find these generalizations about Catholics to be annoying misconceptions at best and offensive stereotypes at worst. :/
