"Did I or did I not tell you to [i]be quiet[/i]?" Jackdaw hissed back at Rennac and Hay as they approached the wall of the colony. "We need to find a way in, or through. If activity picks up in there we're going to drop the subtlety."

Looking up, she knew she could scale the wall easily enough, though not quietly. Besides, if she left the others, she was sure Hay and Varus would be killed, possibly Rennac and Six, and if anything [i]big[/i] struck, Ryder would go down with them. The options that left were few, but sure; they had to get inside and get this done. She might even look for whatever was left of Taerys, see if they could bring anything back for a proper burial. 

If she was dead, of course.
