A sleep spell was cast on the entire town of Magnolia. Everyone that is in town whenever the spell was cast is now asleep and can only wake up once either the spell is lifted or once they realize that their dream isn't the paradise that it's all cracked up to be. Most of the Fairy Tail mages inside the town have already waken up. In your case, Shade is still asleep. Luckily, they'll be getting help from a few of the mages that remained outside the town.
