I think turning should be done by the vampire draining the human near to death then feeding them their blood, which is a healing factor and how they mark humans as theirs.

Yeah he's messed up, but that's just the beginning of him!

On turning your vampire I actually didn't realize my own mistake not saying how they're turned. What I've basically done in my other supernatural RPs were pretty much what you recommended though other than making a bond between the two. I'll edit the first post to add it in and I'll decide on having the bond and mark later today.
