When Xukehzur's optic orb informed him of what it saw, he telepathically bade it to mentally map as much of the city as it could percieve without entering any of its structures or passing through any magically active areas that might affect it or reveal its presence to the elves, and to also include the terrain within two miles of its walls. Hopefully the construct would then be able to produce major images of this area for them upon its return, in effect, compiling and displaying an illusory magic model with perspectives that could be oriented and manipulated for their viewing needs. Xukhezur and Lu'Vayla also needed to decide how forthcoming they would have to be regarding their origins when speaking to the elves and refugees, in order to prove their rightful claim to the items the thieves carried. They were about two hours away, given the terrain that lay ahead of them and the capacity of their steeds, unless they decided to use a means of teleporation. However, they were reluctant to bypass the outermost patrols of the elves and wanted to give them every opportunity to respond to their impending arrival.
