Well, given that I absolutely love the Kara no Kyoukai films I can safely say it was one of the sources of inspiration.

The setting itself is one I've had for a while now, inspired by a few sources including the Nasuverse. ^^;

I suppose Toshiko's appearance made it [i]really[/i] obvious though.
