The Equestrians' Equiis System Energy levels in the outer reachs of the Equestrians' home system began fluctuating rapidly, rising higher and higher at random intervals, dipping up and down like someone had taken hold of the ADD ENERGY lever and began jamming it up and down like a little kid. After a minute, the source, the highest area of the flunctuation, rippled, and as the fabric of space and time, or maybe just space, wrinkled for a moment, 3 Supreme Frigate-Cruisers appeared, gliding gently towards Equiis. The ships were smaller than the warships, and instead of the usual massive, utiliarian design of just a single body without any real 'limbs' or branches extending off, these were really a single, large tube bristling with communication arrays and point-defense, with two secondary tubes extended out to the right and left of the main ship body, with 5 wings connecting it to the ship. The rear-most wing was compromised mostly of engines, and smaller engines were equidistant around the outside edge of the front of the secondary tubes. Three, short, stubby barrels extended out from each secondary tube, though the depth when looking straight down it suggests that most of it is hidden. The mass-drivers weren't supposed to be a clever weapon, but rather something much simpler. What can take a multi-lightyear-ranged shotgun blast of high-density spheres going at a fair percentage of lightspeed? Other turrets dot the secondary and primary tubes, the smaller having a single barrel, the medium having two, and the larger having four. Each one were armed with miniature mass-drivers, capable of firing high-velocity high-density pellets at high rates of fire. One could easily see the part that makes it fly faster than any other ship in the galaxy: A spherical lump on the top-rear of the primary tube, glowing from between cracks in the protective plating, so bright that it's visible from some distance. But because of the lack of armor, one could also see the tesla-coil-like shield generators, that flicker on at the last minute to block incoming fire. The ever-so-slight moment before a laser fires is the particles and energy from the laser reaching the point of impact, and then becoming a real laser, allowing shields to detect and block it. However, they were there for war. After some time of them drifting towards Equiis at a speed that a carrier would find challenging to gain, they sent a message: Greetings neighbors! We're bored. Do something or make something exciting! Kind regards, Shipmaster Kaegin
