Aria stared up at the screen as Mr. Descent continued laughing to himself holding his sides as he did so, however his laughter eventually subsided and he bent down and picked up what looked like a mic before tapping it with his finger. When he did so the speakers surrounding the entire city seemed to blare even louder than before, Aria flinched as a loud screech came from them. It seemed Mr. Descent really wanted to make sure his message got across, whatever it was. Seeing as the guy just gave them magic using some kind of...black magic she wasn't looking forward to what else he had to say. At first Aria was annoyed but she could feel fear start to creep into her, this wasn't normal, none of it was and she didn't know what to do about it, but the thing on her wrist worried her mostly because she didn't understand what exactly it was. "Ahem!" Mr. Descent said his voice even louder than before. "Now people tend to fear what they don't understand so let me go ahead and explain what that thing on you does." Mr. Descent grinned before snapping his fingers, as he did all the screens focused on a young man standing in the crowd, Aria could actually see him where she was standing. It was a young man with short black hair, wearing a blue button up shirt and black shirts, he didn't look that much older than Aria. "Please turn your attention to the nearest tv screen if you would," Mr. Descent said. "They'll be on, I'm not letting you turn them off after all. Now let me make this very clear that thing on your wrist right now is a curse." Aria's eyes widened at Mr. Descent's words and she immediately looked back at it, Mr. Descent continued wanting to finish what he was saying. "If you don't know what that is know that it's generally a bad and harmful thing, there's no way to remove it as by now it's more than likely bonded with your DNA or whatever, I don't know the whole process in short it's part of you now. I hear a few gasps and murmurs out there, you didn't really think you'd get magic for free did you? I'm not that nice of a guy. Now watch this young man because that curse has a timer, and when it counts down...." Mr. Descent trailed off and snapped his fingers, the moment he did the curse on the boy's hand immediately shrank starting from the bottom and moving up to the eye until it was completely gone. The moment the curse was gone red fire engulfed the boy's entire body and he screamed as his skin and inner organs were burned by the flames which seemed to only grow larger with each passing second, blood poured out of the boy's mouth and eyes and he fell to his knees screaming in agony reaching out for someone to help him before he fell face first to the ground going completely still. The flames flared once more before subsiding, leaving nothing but a charred corpse. Aria brought her hand to her mouth at the scent much less the sight of the boy, she felt her legs go weak and it took all her willpower not fall to her knees, others were not as composed and some were screaming and scratching at the seal on their wrist frantically. "Hey! Hey!" Mr. Descent said drawing the attention of the people as he appeared back on the screens. "Calm down! That only happens when the seal vanishes, it burns you from the insides out like that, I mean yeah it's really painful but there's still time on it. You have fifty minutes before that happens....well forty-eight since all that maybe forty-seven. Now before you start screaming again know that there is a way to stop the curse, I wouldn't go cursing you and not give you a way out that's just being a douche. The curse will go into stasis when you are asleep but it won't reset to full, now to restore the time limit all you have do is...." Mr. Descent's toothy grinned showed on the screen before he spoke giving a small shrug of his shoulders. "Kill someone." The words echoed throughout the city for a moment, and people Aria included stared at the screen in complete disbelief, and though Aria desperately wanted this to be a part of this sick man's sense of humor he seemed serious about it. "Someone else with the seal to be more precise, and you have to do it with your magic or hands, if you use a plain weapon or a gun the seal won't register the kill and then you went and killed for nothing and that'd be a tragedy. Some of you guys can imbue stuff right, make sure to enchant the item before smashing someone's head open with it. Oh wait a minute I forget killing is wrong isn't it? That's okay though let's see how long you consider another person's life over yours. I won't judge you for murder but if you wanna be a goody two shoes then go ahead and be a good Samaritan and die for your neighbor, I mean their life is more important than your own right?! So what does it matter who dies! Ahahahahahahahahaha!" Aria's fist clenched causing her magic to show itself as hate almost overtook all of her emotions, if not for the smell of the now deceased boy she would have forgotten where she was by now by the amount of disgust she had against this man. "Oh and just to make it interesting I'm going to lower your time limit...aaaaand you know have five minutes to live. I'll be watching have fun everyone!" With that Mr. Descent's broadcast ended and the televisions returned to normal, however all of them were off the air which was understandable considering the circumstances. Aria looked at her wrist only to see the eye staring back at her, true to his words everyone in this city now had five minutes to live. Aria's eyes scanned the people around her, everyone was looking at one another the words of Mr. Descent playing in their heads as they eyed each other. The hesitation was clear in a majority of their eyes and they only stared at each other in silence, Aria swallowed as she continued to look at the people around her. The only way to live was to kill someone else, and time was slowly ticking down the city almost completely silent as people contemplated murder among one another. The police couldn't help them they had seals like anyone else, what goodwill existed was almost nonexistent as they watched each other It was time to make a decision, she either acted first or they did, even knowing this Aria couldn't help but watch she may not like these people but to kill someone wasn't right, but she didn't want to die either. A middle aged man in a suit eyed Spencer on his right side, his hand was clenched with a black glow coming from it, his eyes were locked on him and he seemed to be hesitating at whatever he intended on doing which should be clear seeing as his eyes went to the seal on his wrist and back to Spencer, a wedding ring rested on the suited man's hand and there was a good chance his mind was going to his family as he stared at Spencer but he didn't move, he just stared the energy surrounding his hand flaring every few seconds. A young woman followed Carson fire circling around her right arm, she wasn't sure if he had seen her but she kept a steady pace her eyes narrowed at him. Her hand twitched every few moments as she glared at him, she could see herself setting him aflame, watching his body fall to the ground but she found herself hesitating at the thought of it. She closed her hand into a fist continuing to watch him in silence, though it was unsure how long she intended on watching. "...I can't die," the woman muttered. A young boy walked off the side walk and stood in front of Andrew, he flexed his hands chains coming out of his skin as he eyed the man in front of him his eyebrows narrowing into a glare. His eyes went to Andrew's hand, his seal was the same as his on the five minute mark, that was enough confirmation for the boy that it was okay to kill this person, however he didn't attack he just stared at him in silence. Much as he wanted to survive the boy had never taken a life before and his fear was obvious in his expression but he grit his teeth and put on a brave face as he stared at Andrew.
