Ayame looked to the side for a second as Umichi suggested that she be the peacekeeper before nodding. No matter how strange it felt to make sure Hideki didn't go ballistic, making a scene here would only cause trouble. It seemed alright when Paka told him to calm down; it seemed as if Fujiwara would step back a bit and let things play out. However, when Fujiwara saw the katana he just... Well, he blew up, to say the least. "Okay, gloves I can understand. Gloves are fine. But a goddamn SILVER KATANA? Are you TRYING to be obvious here? There's no way in hell that you could've bought that if you're level three! I'm not going to accept something obtained with stolen money, no matter HOW much it's worth. That's it, I'm going to-" "H-hold it! Back off for a second, Hideki!" Ayame panicked, quickly blocking Fujiwara's path. "If you fight him, you'll be no better off!" "...Fine." Fujiwara responded, glaring at the thief. "Regardless, your attempts at bribery will help nobody, especially yourself. Keep your stolen items to yourself." Gritting his teeth, Fujiwara backed away from the thief, his hands clenched tightly into fists at his side. At this point, every single action that the thief did aggravated him even more. It was more a battle of dignity now than it was one of defending Ayame. It had taken him a week and a half to help Ayame to catch up, but helping a level 3 right before a boss battle was almost out of the question. It'd be suicide to bring him in, and tiring to grind him up, especially with the boss battle coming so soon. Not that he cared much for the man, of course.
