Devika grinned, and then scribbled something down. She held it up. -Welcome, then!- Next to that was a big, goofy smiley face. With that message passed along, she got back to her note-taking until class ended. Then she made her way across the room, slipping around exiting students. "...hey." She lifted one hand in greeting. "You new?"

Kijani didn't remember crossing the campus, or making it into the female dorms. But she found herself at her door, trying to work the key into the lock with shaking hands. Eventually she managed to unlock the door and get inside. She crumpled into her bed, not even bothering to lose her shoes. It was cold, and she yanked the blanket over herself.
