Peter’s response made Lexi think about the previous year, where she had no clue that Peter was actually Spider-Man. “You stick to things when you’re nervous or embarrassed…” She repeated, and then, memories came flooding back to her like turning on a faucet. There was a time when they were walking through her house and she tripped falling directly against him and wrapping her arms around his waist for balance as she regained herself and when she did, he had his hands against the wall and insisted that she went ahead, he had to do some stretching on his legs. He was actually stuck to the wall! She had dragged Peter along dress shopping once and he, of course, wondered off into a different section of the store because they had some form of photography stuff so she had to chase him down and ask him what he thought of the adorable sundress she wanted to buy; he pretended to take pictures of her with the camera than she skipped off to take off the dress; when she returned he was still holding that same camera so she left him there to check it out more. It took him a while but he finally caught back up with her. He was stuck to that too! “Huh.” She said as the realization hit her when he told him that. “Well that makes sense.” A small shrug lifted her tank top covered shoulders and fell back down, her small hand trailed up into his thick brown hair with a smile. “Maybe I purr when I’m at the peak of my comfort…” Leaning her forehead against his she gentle smile, “That would explain why I feel the urge to do it the most when I’m around you.” Her head turned to watch the movie and hear Peter’s cheesy comment which just made her giggle softly and use the blanket to muffle the noise so it not to wake Aunt May. “It’s too bad, it seems to deserve so many rewards.” Her gaze moved back to Peter, one hand resting gently on his chest and the other playing with his hair. “Playful words, loving actions and classic cheesy jokes; I think it could win any award, including a young girl’s heart.” There was nothing more obvious than the fact that she wasn’t talking about the movie as she played with Peter’s hair and looked at him in a loving fashion.
