I agree, but sometimes people don't have someone like that for one reason or another. And it's not always by their own fault. I thought it would be best to try an explain that struggle, if somewhat, through Tomo 'alone' scene.

I can hardly imagine what something like that must feel like. 

*scratches back of head and laughs* But that's why our characters all go to school together. So someday soon they don't have to be alone like that.
