Name: Yukimura Chikane Age: 512, looks 20-something. Appearance: Both are the same person! Personality: Cocky and fight-prone, with the backup that there are few fights that she'll lose in any meaningful and permanent way. She approaches all challenges with the same "I'll just have to try again harder" mentality upon failure, even if this won't result in any improvement. Chikane is far too stubborn for her own good. Abilities: For one, Chikane is quite definitely a vampire, with all the attendant strengths and weaknesses that this entails. Her age also gives her a good deal of practical experience when it comes to the art of fighting, which makes up for still knowing basically nothing about 'proper' martial arts. About a hundred years ago, she started learning western magic during Japan's rapid industrialisation. With her affinity as the alarmingly straightforward 'power', almost all of her spell knowledge is focused around the simple goal of making her already superhuman abilities more superhuman, regardless of risk or time taken. This makes her something of a one trick pony; her response to being unable to overcome an obstacle is simply to make herself stronger, faster, or both, and try again. If that fails... well, she's got one goal in mind. The vampire has, at least, taken the chance to learn appearance-altering spells, though not to any major extent. When you're an unageing, undying bloodsucker, changing the length of your hair or the colour of your eyes via magic is a somewhat useful talent. The more potent, and far harder to learn, spell was one to reshape body fat. Weapons/Equipment: Chikane owns a motorbike--and an alarmingly powerful one, at that. This spares her two things: having to share a car with Toshiko, and allowing her to go fast. Brief Backstory: Hundreds of years ago, Chikane was nothing special--before an older vampire, in a fit of pique, turned her and looked after her for a few weeks before leaving her to her fate. Survival got easier with time, and even easier once she could start getting proper jobs. When Toshiko first started hiring, Chikane was the first to sign up--not because she had any detective skills, but because it offered a chance to track down the bastard that turned her in the first place. Plus it gave her an opportunity to move in, since she'd been lacking in a proper home for some time due to ID issues.
