Noel stared at her reflection in the tea ashamed. She knew full well she should have gone with them to fight but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Especially at night. "I.." Sipping her tea to fill the silence she finally looked up with a fallen smile. "I can't drive yet..Remember? They left without me." Her voice cracked in shame for the horrible excuse. She felt horrible for lying to Gwen and her hands began to shake slightly. 
She closed her eyes and quietly sighed to clear her head. "I don't. I haven't seen him all night. Perhaps try his phone? He has to be awake, right?." She didn't mention the messages to avoid hurting the sickly girl's feelings.
