Alex stood for a second watching her hold out her hand. She was pretty for a human. Long wavy brown hair that fell about her shoulders. She looked delicious, but he had to restrain himself. After all he was about to be on camera. "I've been called Alexander, though you may call me Alex." He shook her hand politely. "Now," He took a step back from her so he wasn't dangerously close, "I will tell you as much as I can about us vampires, starting with myself. I'm over a thousand years old. I was little more than thirty when I was turned by my maker." He smiled wide at the thought of his maker who he loved dearly. His fangs popped out on their own accord. Tilting his head slightly he looked to see what their reaction to them would be. "These days i'm the local Sheriff and this is my district. I uphold the Law, and make sure its followed. Anyone that disobeys... well we deal with them privately." Alex was never one to wait around while someone else stumbled to get ready. He certainly hadn't waited for this reporter and had simply taken control of the interview. It was something that he was used to, having control over the situation. With something as important as educating the dimwitted humans before they did something rash against his kind, well he wasn't going to let just anyone direct him on that.
