Ja laughed. "Come now, why would you leave? We're just getting to know each other! You look hungry." He waved for the waiter and asked for some seared slaughterfish. Once the fish got there, Ja began digging in and drinking his ale. "I'm actually about to leave. As soon as I find some work I'll be leaving. Maybe you would care to join Ja'Ranjo on his next job? I could use someone skilled with a blade like you to help me, who knows if the next ship to take me will try and capture me." As he finished his fish, he got up. "I need to get something from my room, I will be right back. Consider what Ja'Ranjo said." Ja walked up the stairs in the back left corner of the tavern and entered the second door on his right. He pulled out his travel sack and began searching through it for his nightshade amulet. He always took this amulet for a few minutes at the same time each day and prayed to Kynareth as his parents did. At least, he thought they did, it was hard to remember. He knelled, held the amulet in his hands, and whispered Kynareth. "Come to me, Kynareth, for without you, I might not know the mysteries of the world, and so blind and in terror, I might consume and profane the abundance of your beautiful treasures." He got up, placed the amulet in his pocket as an afterthought, and went back downstairs. He sat down next the Kahl again and said, "So! Made a decision?"
