Voices came and went, people were gathering in the commons room and Ase was somewhat annoyed by it. Though, she was the on at fault for not going up to sleep in one of the many rooms, so complaining wouldn't really be all that noble of her. Nonetheless, she turned her head and slowly opened her eyes, staring at the gathering group with blistering red eyes. Most of their names escaped her, simple words that were not needed in her busy brain, but the ever present knowledge of them having to work together and live together now was making her feel a bit bad for forgetting them. Oh well, think later, rest now. Ase turned her head once more, staring at the cushion of the couch as she attempted to build some strength. For a moment, darkness enveloped her, and all the voices faded into white noise. Her body felt warm and heavy, as it was already attempting to heal itself already, and she simply sighed and relaxed. Her weary shoulders and aching legs began to heal, slowly, before finally the few cuts and bruises on her body began to vanish as well. After a while of silent blackness, Ase felt her mind whirl boredly, thoughts forming among the inky air as colorful swirls and dots. She thought of the group, and her partner, and the disappearing students and teachers. The hoard of demons, the collapsing school, anything. Anything she could think of appeared in her head, gleaming brightly before being psuhed away by another thought. That was when the question started; HOW did that hoard of demons spawn? Who was the cause? There were probably plenty of people (well, demons) out to get the school, but Ase didn't have a clue. She felt... Worthless, in that aspect. If she wasn't figuring out the mystery, then she was pointless. Just a weakling with a knack for healing magic. Her colorful thoughts eventually faded, and the silence returned. The darkness remained, evidence that she was probably drifting off to sleep, but something faint kept her semi-awake. A new voice, talking directly to her. The smell of dog filled her senses, and Ase eventually opened her eyes again and turned over, eyes narrowed into slits. Another person stood over her, the dog-smelling one obviously. 'Stereotyping, huh?' Ase clenched her fist tightly, restraining the need to lash her tail, and sneered at the boy before turning back over. He left after a moment, asking for someone's name, and now too restless to sleep she groaned, shoving her face deep into the cushion below her. It was going to be a long, long night.
