Of course, Yu didn't expect this to outright kill him, if anything, he wanted to see how Ryuu handled fighting something like this. Yu also needed to keep his distance as well. Yu knew what Ryuu could do just as much as he knew what Yu could do.

Ryuu watched Yu disappear which led to his attack destroying a great portion of the barracks but this didn't matter, Ryuu had no care for this. Ryuu then stood up straight and turned to look at Yu then spoke "We were never friends, what need is there for such a pathetic connection known as friends? You are just an obstacle and like all obstacle's I come against...I'll crush them and walk over their remains..." Ryuu watches as twelve wolves appeared around him however he showed no sign of shock. "You think these puppies will hurt me? how idiotic..." Ryuu was then engulfed by the explosion however once the dust and smoke had cleared he appeared un-phased. No damage was evident other than his uniform being torn slightly "Is this all the Lieutenant of Squad 1 has to offer? How disappointing..." Ryuu then aimed his left palm at Yu as he charged up a Hado 88 which fired off with immense strength and speed, it's size impressive and even more impressive...no incantation...
