Rather than engage Nazo's attack, Seisui took two steps forwards almost in sync with his adversary's slash, allowing it to glide past him as he moved out of range, turned on his heel and slashed towards Nazo's head with his blade in his left hand, normal grip, and his body swiveling slightly so as to maximize the finesse and power of his attack. He was ready to retreat back, or pursue, at a moment's notice.
