The response from Lorne granted Benead a look somewhere between a sneer and a confused gesture. Who was he to declare what was and wasn't possible? Hell, the entire prospect of 'jump systems' back where Benead came from relied on the use of specific alternate dimensions. Either way, it was rather obvious that Lorne wasn't believing a lick of what Benead was claiming, yet was still insisting they could form a treaty, as if they thought the Jotunheim was still from their timeline. While the Commander found himself responding to the sudden "DRADIS" alerts, Benead motioned to cut the channel. However human they were, those people were just a bit too firm on their beliefs. "Send another transmission to the Andromeda," Benead ordered to Communications. "Tell them the matter with the Battlestar has been concluded, and that we may proceed with the agreed-upon shuttle plan." The transmission was sent as such, without delay, and Benead himself sent another message to the hangar, telling that when the shuttle was prepared than they could leave on the Captain's mark. "Sir, we have another unknown vessel sending a broadcast message," McKellen reported once more, getting the Captain's attention. Benead sighed, leaning his head on a hand in true disgruntlement. This situation was already scrambled enough as it was, and now there were yet more ships revealing themselves. Was this going to stop anytime soon? "Relay it." "I am Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, I am afraid to say you have arrived in a time of conflict. After a war that ravaged the galaxy, followers of the Dark Side of the Force have seized control of the Republic and reformed it into the Galactic Empire." James raised somewhat back to attention at this. From the sound of it, this ship and its inhabitants were actually local to this space. Benead resolved himself again; if they were willing to share what was going on here, then perhaps they may be able to determine how they got here, and even how they might get back to whence they came. "We have sensed the good in most of you, and seek your help. With your assistance, we feel we could free the Galaxy before it is ever enslaved. We invite you aboard our vessel, and are willing to transmit any navigational data or historical data you desire." Benead nodded ruefully. Of course, they would want help with whatever major problem they had. The fact that they would still trust absolute strangers to help them in a time of dire need still spoke volumes about the condition of their side. It still stood, however, that the promise and success of aiding these individuals in reclaiming their world could allow them to determine a way to return each ship here to their own worlds safely. After all, it must be perfectly apparent to these people that most of the ships gathered here were not of this locality. He told Communications to send a transmission asking for known mappings of the current galaxy. If they really were still in the Milky Way, they would find out soon enough.
