Here's something for people to ponder until I pull up the next discussion: Without God and His promises, do we have a guarantee that the laws of logic (such as "The Law of Non-Contradiction" which explains that the statements, "The light is red," and, "The light is not red," cannot both be true simultaneously while referring to the same light) and the laws of physics (such as "The Law of Gravity") will be the same tomorrow as they are today? Yeah, I'm going to get really technical and scientific to explain that God exists beyond a shadow of a doubt.
