Normally his eyes glow with an unnatural yellow color but when enraged his eyes turn a burning red. For a beast his size and age its odd that he doesn't have any scars, however it works in his favor as many a young hunter would think he was just some experienced beast. Age: He doesn't remember, but has been around since 521 AD Affiliation: On the fence, but leans more towards good. Magic Capabilities: Can regenerate wounds and limbs in a matter of weeks. Weapons: Claws and teeth. Strengths: Strong enough to tear through iron with ease. Hide is nearly impervious. Knowledge of ancient runes. Knowledge of ancient weaponry. Greatly enhanced senses. Weaknesses: Weaponry blessed with runes can cut through his hide unbidden. The form of Grendel is horrifying to see and causes many to flee. Relationships: For the most part he has an uneasy relationship with almost everyone. Brief Bio: Everyone knows the story of Grendel. A giant beast kills a many men and another man comes to kill Grendel. Well he would be the first to tell you that those are all lies. Grendel the "Monster" was just a brother seeking vengeance after what the king did to his kind. At the very beginning, before the king made his meadhall, the land belonged to Grendel and his siblings. They would run through the prairies and forests, hunting and playing to their hearts content. That is until Man came. At first it didn't bother Grendel or his siblings, they were just new people that could be ignored. However that soon changed when Man first set eyes upon his kind. With fear they lashed out and began to hunt down Grendel and his siblings, until there wasn't any more left. Overcame with grief, Grendel went on a warpath and killed the kings battle brothers that slept within the meadhall. Then again and again. He repeated this until one day he met, Beowulf. This is when the story gets fuzzy. Beowulf wasn't naked and unarmed, instead he was covered head to toe in armor and was blessed with a sword of incredible power. The battle between the two was great, but it ended with Grendel losing an arm. The story stays pretty much the same, Beowulf killed Grendel's Mother and Grendel went into hiding. Eventually Grendel returned and found Beowulf, broken and near death. The warrior now old king had vanquished a dragon but at the cost of his life. Grendel didn't kill Beowulf, exile had taught him wisdom and with that came with the realization that Beowulf didn't know any better. Beowulf was fed lies that Grendel and his mother were horrific beasts that had to be slain. At the end, Grendel and Beowulf left on good terms. Well, as well as they could. Both individuals respected each other as warriors. Afterwards, Grendel stayed in the dark and rarely made much contact with anybody.
