>dissect my wordingdid you not just like fuckin tell me what my wording 'meant' and say how I was acting with my 'tone'?Yeah you should have left a fuckin alone, but I'm sure you have this big thing in your head about me getting some whitelist powers and thinking that I can now decide what plugins we have or don't have. lolI don't know what else could have have you riled up this time.
I'm not riled up. Any ill will you assume me to have is in your head. As it is almost every time something like this happens. I'm just a little careless with my wording is all. Here's my stream of thought:
*suggestion about using factions for new world*

I'm not really into the faction idea, I wasn't too enthusiastic about implementing it to begin with
I expected to be shot down for the new idea, but someone not liking them to begin with? Not liking them the way we have them?
Well factions work well for antigriefing anyway. That is, unless you start a city and let everyone in on it :P

And yeah that would be useful, but I feel like we're all grown up enough to give eachother space and all that noise. I was on another server that did that and we all managed fine. Plus then people won't get annoyed at me for inviting people to my faction. 8D
That sounds exactly like he's arguing that we don't need it. He's giving reasons not to have it. We do need it. I don't understand why being "grown" enough to not need it makes any sense. Why don't we just keep it anyway?
You're talking like factions are being considered for removal. They are a perfectly useful anti-griefing method. There's no reason to remove it.
I said that first sentence not only because no one else has had any issue with them, but also because David wasn't even saying that he himself wanted them removed. All I was thinking was "What's the point? No one is saying that they should go away, why is he even rebutting?" I imagine it was taken as "Fuck you and you're shit," or perhaps me worrying that he himself was considering it, and had the power to do so? That's what his last post says, right? What's the point?
How on earth did you get that idea?I said I wasn't super enthusiastic about them anyway, and you started to defend them. I said why I don't like having factions, I'm well aware most people want them.So no, I wasn't 'talking like' that.edit: oh because I said 'won't' instead of 'wouldn't'
What? Were you not giving point's against having factions? How does my statement not make sense? I was saying that there is no way they are getting removed, and so it was pointless to even bring up negatives. While you can argue that I was out of line by saying that, it still made sense contextually.
Pretty much that and tone.
The "won't" did in fact throw me off. It sounds like an 'if, then' statement. "If factions were removed, then I won't have this problem." Sounded like an argument. I didn't reply to the rest because I didn't fully understand what he was saying. I wasn't going to press it because what he was saying was directly tied into to what he thought that I was saying in the first place, and I didn't want to go too far into it.
There was no tone to it, other than rebutting your reasons for wanting it.I don't really think most of us need factions to tell us to leave land alone. And factions always cause unnecessary hullabaloo.
I saw the tone of his responses as "wanting to get rid of factions." I don't know how I couldn't. He didn't explicitly say that he wanted it either way, and without the knowledge of him being "well aware most people want them [so I am not ACTUALLY arguing for them to be gone]," it wasn't obvious at all that he was simply arguing for the sake of arguing. And pointing out negatives against a feature while everyone is deciding on changes DOES imply a tone of wanting that feature to be gone.
I was taking your rebuttals as an implied wanting of removal. And by saying "You're talking like factions are being considered for removal," I was actually trying to say that your disapproval is irrelevant*.*because it isn't being considered for removal
And by that I meant that arguing is pointless. Perhaps I should have worded that differently.
Do I want it removed? I don't know, I'm comfortable with it now. I didn't want it at first, but I acknowledged that most people want it.I don't think there's anyone else besides me who didn't want it, so I don't know how it would be considered 'up for removal' in any sense of the term. My disapproval is irrelevant to what? What are you even talking about? I was expressing an opinion you twat. I never said it was relevant or influential.edit: OOPS SAID DOESNT MEANT DIDNT, MUH BAD
Fuck.
This is just two people misunderstanding each other. Should have left it where it was a few stages earlier instead of trying to dissect my wording. Forget about it.

>dissect my wording did you not just like fuckin tell me what my wording 'meant' and say how I was acting with my 'tone'? Yeah you should have left a fuckin alone, but I'm sure you have this big thing in your head about me getting some whitelist powers and thinking that I can now decide what plugins we have or don't have. lol I don't know what else could have have you riled up this time.
wot I think the real issue here was that David knew his intentions for why he was saying what he was saying, but I did not. I assumed different intentions. I assume intentions sometimes. Or perhaps it was my failure to grasp certain things. I wouldn't be surprised. Either way, I don't mind. But I would appreciate it if you brought it down a few levels and didn't continue with the rage and uh...
but I'm sure you have this big thing in your head about me getting some whitelist powers and thinking that I can now decide what plugins we have or don't have. lolI don't know what else could have have you riled up this time.
Whatever that is. -presses Preview Post button- EDIT: Actually, the "won't" threw me off for a different reason, but I couldn't put it into words. I came up with another reason, which upon review isn't very good.
