Well unless you've rigged bombs in front of the entrance, that pile of scraps isn't suppose to go anywhere. 

Admittedly I wrote it in such a way so that Jack, given his fairly versitile tools, shouldn't immediately see through the ruse. And to do that I have to withhold information and be deliberately vague, not only to trick Jack, but also you. 

To be fair, Dark Matter still doesn't know about the shock mines or the full extent of Jack's equipment. Dark Matter at least knows that Jack has some guns and possibly much more heavier firepower, since he seems to be hunting Titans. Beyond that is a mystery.
