Noelle would have corrected the captain that she didn't delve into her mind and control it any more than than Noelle would have if she wore a particularly attractive dress or had a ring with the same enchantments she cast on herself. But she didn't because, in truth, Noelle did use her magic to manipulate Sharee's minds. Perhaps unaware of that exact detail, but Noelle's spell was two parted: Enchant herself to increase her Charisma, and Charm Sharee if it wasn't enough. Even if the captain isn't aware of the actual truth, Noelle chose not to mention it simply to prevent a bad situation from getting worse. Sharee gave Noelle a choice of how she could take her punishment. Either without resistance and let Sharee be at least a bit merciful to her, and what was implied to be a chance at escape. Implied being that Sharee was confident that Noelle would be captured anyways, and given that she managed to see though her Illusions, Noelle was fairly certain that the captain could. Normally Noelle would cut her loses and make her getaway, but where would she go? She had a geographical knowledge of most parts of Elsweyr, but she lacks the experience of putting it into good use. Not to mention, she doubt that the local governing body would appreciate a wandering breton without her papers. And that's assuming that, even if Noelle escapes, Sharee won't chase her down. Noelle tried to be a bit idealistic in thinking that maybe Sharee wouldn't bother to go chasing her across Tamriel, but could she really be sure of that? What if she sends her officers? "No..." Noelle whispered solemnly. "I... I'm at your mercy, captain." Noelle didn't really have an idea of what Sharee was going to do with her. Flog her? Pour acid on her? Lock her in the brig? The posssiblities were only limited by Sharee's creativity and effort. Noelle shuddered at the thoughts.
