I am compelled to smack someone here.

I am highly in doubt a fall of Rome would have shifted things so much the Slavs - who by this point would probably be hanging out near the Caucus - wouldn't find themselves in a position to shift so far west-ward they jump over Denmark and end up in Birtain, which even with Roman occupation was Celtic. And then the Danes invaded.
