Disregard the neigh sayers saying growing up sucks. It's fantastic. Making your own decisions and not having to answer to anyone but your own responsibilities is empowering. You find a job you like and get compensated well for it and you're laughing, you aren't trapped with climbing student loans and you can start to afford to live life the way you want to. You aren't trapped under your parents' roof and rules, you do things how you want. Your success and failure is entirely your doing. Sure, it sucks if you're in a minimum wage job trying to make ends meet (trust me, I was there for years and it's terrifying), but this mainly applies to when you start getting on a career path where you aren't worried about living week to week and you can start to live comfortably. I'm 26 years old and being an adult is fucking awesome.
