Honestly? Dark Matter isn't really trying to save anyone. That was just some BS he made up so Aria wouldn't see him as an enemy. I mean, if Serenity is alive, cool, that's great. But it's not that important to him. Killing Jack, now that's why Dark Matter bothered to go through with this anyways. And if Serenity die too? She's a casualty. What I'm saying is that I'm trying to kill you. You can try to. The difference is that unlike you, I haven't gotten the chance to set up the situation in such a way that killing someone is a most certain possibility and very difficult to avoid. Traps like bomb vests tend to be used for such occasions. If you feel that it would be within's Jack's character to kill Serenity, than I won't stop you. I know that if Dark Matter was in his situation, he'd totally do it. No fanfare, no declaration, just get what I can, cut my loses, and blow up the place so I leave no evidence. You know, after I've escaped that is. Is it fair? Not really. But we're badguys. We're not suppose to give the enemy a fighting chance, because that means we have a fair chance of losing. That tends to be counter productive to our goals. Heck, maybe killing Serenity could be a good thing. Make's the Teen Titan's know that, no, they aren't immortal, and if they don't get their act together and act like a team, they will all die, slowly, one-by-one, or before they could even get a chance to fight back. You know, instead of bickering, popping attitudes, being insane idiots, and what not.
