There was nothing better than enveloping her lips against Steve’s once again. This can’t be real! You’ve got to be kidding her! He was big and muscly but held her like he was holding a precious gem. He seemed incredibly shy around her and yet was able to talk and joke with her the more time he spent around her, and now they were interlocked in a kiss again. God if this was heaven, she’d be perfectly content. The day was a pleasant rest of the one; she convinced Steve (which didn’t take much but an ask) for him to stay for dinner. He did, of course, run back to his apartment to grab the next in the Star Wars series to watch and they had a wonderful dinner of classic beef stew and corn on the cob while watching. Would you be surprised to hear that once their food was gone, they were cuddling up on the couch? No you wouldn’t. You probably wouldn’t be surprised to hear that she had pulled his second arm around her so she was settled inside of his arms, feeling more safe then she ever had been. The last thing that happened throughout the night was the kiss good bye at her door. Nah that probably didn’t surprise you either; and it wouldn’t surprise you to find out that she did a happy dance on the other side of the door after they said their good byes. Would it be weird to ask for his cell phone number because they live across the hall? Or would that make her look desperate? Maybe next time. ---- The following day was an odd one for her. She was technically going to work but she wasn’t actually going to the building. Today was the day that she needed to pick up a canister and return it to S.H.I.E.L.D. How hard could that be? It was simple, the transaction went off without a hitch and Sharon was on her way back to headquarters. Half of her was curious on if anyone would recognize her in her street clothes with the glasses and high bun on top of her head. Sharon stopped at the courtyard out front of the building. Her blue gaze moved upwards, to her surprise she saw a figure she never thought she’d seen stepping into the glass elevator. That large muscular build and blue and red outfit couldn’t be missed even from her distance. The reflection of his shield gave her a sense of pride and accomplishment, not to mention excitement to think that he acknowledged her recently; yes that was still fresh on her mind. As the iconic figure in the elevator turn she rose her hand to wave at him only to feel her wrist grabbed in a harsh manner. “What the…” Before she could do or say anymore, another hand rose up and covered her mouth with a piece of cloth. Sharon, being trained as she was, was about to fend off the attackers before once of them kneed her in the stomach, causing her to gasp which forced her to inhale the chloroform and her body began to shut down as her vision became blurry. Her hands fell limp and her body collapse. “We got the bag, why don’t we leave her?” “Leverage, bargaining; she might be important.” “Fine throw her in the van.” Her ears seemed to shut off as her body was lifted into the air and thrown somewhere with a thump, light disappearing and soon she was laying in darkness before silence overtook her and she was out.
