How did it confuse you? If it really puzzled you, just ask the GM or another player. You never mentioned being confused to my knowledge, you didn't tell anyone, that was what was wrong with your decision. You should have just asked, and this wouldn't have happened. But it did for a reason. For you to be enlightened on this. And so, it was really simple.

You also could have used common sense and looked it up waaay before this could have happened.
