Cloudhaven Market District Vallence stared at the blank log out button. He hardly slept the night before and woke up earlier than he wanted to today and this had been just about all he had done. The initial shock may have worn of, but a large part of him was still in denial hoping that he could log out any moment now. Back in real life he had only just started to put his life together. He was working at a good job. He was going to have a girlfriend soon. His family life had finally settled in a way that he was happy with. Things were great on the other side, until now. He had gotten KotSO as a reward for himself for having done so well in life lately. Now this was his prison. He flailed in his seat in frustration. His situation in life had been going up and now he had been knocked down again. It was infuriating how life was so cruel to him. Several people had committed suicide out of the shock of being told they couldn't escape the game, but Vallence would never be one of those people. Two years ago he had gone through a period in his life where he nearly succeeded in committing suicide. Now the thought of it scared him even more than being stuck in a game. He then stood up fists clenched and closed out the menu. "Damn it! I won't give up!" Several people looked at him as he shouted this out, but before long they went back to their business. It wasn't a big surprise that some people still were having difficulties with the game so recently being launched and the announcement still fresh in everyone's minds. He let that moment of passion flow through his body. That's right. I'm still alive. I can still feel. Which means I still have a chance. He stood there like Goku charging up his super-saiyan powers while he thought to himself. I need to find some way out of here. There has to be a chance I can escape. I won't die. I won't give up. Even if I have to beat the game I'll strive for success. He looked around feeling charged. He needed to find a group. His class was oriented towards teamwork. He knew he wouldn't be able to solo for too far into the game, which meant he had to find a party that would be happy to have him. There were plenty of people here, so he had plenty to choose from. He cleared his throat and began to look around. It wasn't long before he came across blonde haired dark skinned man with slightly tipped ears. "H-hey. You looking for a group? I'm Vallence. I can't exactly solo out there, and I sure as hell am not sitting on my hands anymore."
