Name: Paige Melody Leroux Age: 20 Gender: Female Ethnicity/Nationality: Caucasian, French-American Physical Description:
Paige is a rather petite girl, standing at 4”9” and weighing 120 lbs (due to cybernetic implants), with fair skin and a toned, though not built, musculature. Her hair, usually loose or put up into a ponytail, is dark black in color and goes down to about the middle of her back. By far her most striking feature, however, is her eyes, as they are two different colors due to her heterochromia. Her left eye is a bright ruby red, while her right eye is a clear sapphire blue, leading her father to joke that that was where the gems from her mother's engagement ring went. Paige does have several scars from a variety of sources on her arms, legs, and torso, but the most significant scar is that of two puncture wounds on the side of her neck from an attempted vampire feeding when she was much younger. Usually, she tries to cover them up with her shirt collar or something, as people asking about them does make her uncomfortable. Like the many roles that she adopts, Paige's attire changes to fit the occasion, though she is a fan of clothing that has a sort of enchanted feel to it. One of her favorite things to wear is her magician outfit, not that that means that she always wears it. It's just comfortable, and it fits the criteria of appearing sufficiently mystical or mysterious enough to captivate an audience. Normally, however, she wears casual clothing; t-shirts, skirts, shorts, jeans, sneakers, etc.
Skillset:
While Paige's most notable skill is her telekinesis, though she is an accomplished magician and thespian. Having been unable to practice extensively with her telekinesis for fear that her father would find out about it, she isn't anywhere near a master of it. She is, however, a step above basic in terms of her ability, meaning she can do a bit more than simply grabbing and lifting things. As for her strength with it, she is able to lift anything up to around seven hundred pounds, though it is rather exhausting. Again, that is due to her lack of practice more than anything, and her limit will be sure to rise as she gains more experience using her ability. As for Paige's other talents, she is something of a genius when it comes to the performing arts, especially concerning magic and acting. She is able to seamlessly slip into a role with very little time to rehearse, allowing her to adapt on the fly in order to deal with situations as they come up, making her the perfect candidate for infiltration. While not much, it is important to note that she does have experience with karate, and is a second-degree blackbelt.
History:
When Paige was around seven years old, her house was broken into by a single man whom the police failed to apprehend. The man, whom Paige now knows was a vampire, entered the house with the intent of feeding, though that didn't stop him from having his way with her and her mother, and in more ways than one. After he had his fun and they had pleaded for their lives, he grabbed her mother by the hair and clamped down on her neck, sucking her dry within minutes. He had been about to do the same to Paige, actually getting as far as piercing the skin of her neck with his fangs when a gun went off. Screaming in pain, the vampire dropped Paige and jumped out the window, aware that staying to deal with the newcomer would risk the sun coming up. To cope with the tragedy of losing her mother and the trauma of the abuse the vampire had laid upon Paige, her father had her go to therapy several times a week in addition to Karate classes. Both of these helped Paige move past what had happened, though she wasn't really into the martial arts scene. Sure, it helped her rebuild her confidence because she felt that she could handle herself, but participating in martial arts was really to put her dad at ease. The thing that really helped Paige get over the trauma was learning magic. She took a shine to it immediately, and it became evident that she had a natural talent for the craft. It was especially necessary for her to have a hobby that she loved as much as she did magic, as this was about the time that she noticed she was able to move things with her mind. At first, it kind of scared her because it would happen whenever she lost focus, but she gradually managed to gain some control over it and grew to think of it as a blessing, rather than a curse. By the time Paige was in middle school, she had taken to doing magic shows for others, whether they be family, friends, or the school. And, though she wasn't technically a business, it wasn't entirely uncommon for her to get a little bit of money from her endeavors. But, middle school was also where she became interested in theater. Considering it was similar in purpose to magic, that is to present something that does not truly exist in a believable fashion, she had a natural talent for acting and was regularly a lead performer in her school's shows. High school continued in much the same way as middle school, though she was doing magic shows on stage in clubs and other places and had obtained several roles in actual theaters while enrolled. She was even able to fit more practice in for her telekinetic powers with her growing level of independence. Nothing really spectacular happened, though she was able to make quite a chunk of change off of her hobbies throughout her academic career. Towards the end of her high school career, she was approached by a strange man who offered her a job with the Aspida Organization, which he presented as a higher-level police force of sorts. Considering the fact that protective services was the field Paige wanted to work in after high school, it seemed like a good idea. The pay was good, there were benefits, and she would be helping people, so she signed up for the job, quashing that little voice that said she would regret it.
Psychological Profile:
Paige is, in a word, a sweetheart despite her tough facade. She loves to help people and is known for her kindness and generosity. She was, incidentally, one of the volunteer super stars at her high school, though she made sure that few other people knew about it. Flaunting her good deeds, even unintentionally, always left a sour taste in her mouth and a knot in her stomach, so only her family and close friends knew about her volunteering. Paige is also a very cheerful person. She always seems to be having a good time, with a large smile in her face and a bounce in her step. This means that, while she wasn't really popular in school, she was very well-liked by just about everyone. Though she can be confident in her abilities, it never seems to cross into arrogance, as she rarely speaks about her triumphs in her hobbies to anyone who doesn't ask first, which was also a part of the reason a lot of the other students liked her. Though mostly under control, Paige does still suffer from flashbacks and nightmares of the “event.” She doesn't much like to talk about them, but suffice to say that it's pretty obvious when she does have one. Her friend's mother actually called the hospital during a sleepover because she was thrashing around so much in her sleep. The trauma has manifested in other ways too, like her paranoia when it comes to locking her door. Usually, she has to check it at least seven or eight times before she's sure that she's safe.
Modifications: Most of Paige's augmentations focus on improving her telekinetic ability, it being seen as the clear priority. As such, her physical augmentations aren't necessarily as potent as some of the others.
- Communications suite, HUD and neural-computer, all standard issue --  Aspidas agents are able to text by thinking it among each other on a  heavily encrypted wireless network. In fact, the computer works off  brain impulses and is easily one of the most sophisticated and useful  implants they have; what's more, its capabilities have yet to be fully  exploited. The downside of this implant is that it includes a cortex  bomb with an anti-tampering device. A captured agent can set it off, destroying the hardware inside, or a signal from control can do the  same. This is to prevent the enemy from learning the capabilities of  implanted agents.  - Internal air  supply and aerial toxin filter -- this also has the added advantage of  making agents immune to vampire pheromones, as some types of vampires are  known to use this to seduce their prey. - Blood/liquid toxin filter  -- the obvious is at work here -- vampires use their blood as a means of  controlling mortals, and this system (and everyone, even non field  agents, in the Aspidas organization have this implant) screens out one  of most subtle weapons a vampire has, rendering them functionally immune to being controlled through ingested blood the way mortal thralls of a vampire might be. - Eye augmentation; a HUD showing all sorts of  system data, such as the status of implants, as well as allowing for  low-light and ultra-sound modes of vision, the latter being thought to  be more effective than thermographics when dealing with vampires, who  tend to run cold if they haven't fed lately. - Hearing Amplification, including low and high frequency sound ranges, along with balance augmentation. - Neural Rewiring: Paige essentially had the neurons in her brain upgraded with fiber-optics to allow for faster transmission of thoughts and information, allowing her to react and think faster than a normal person. While this was intended to increase the utility of her telekinesis, it does have the side effect of improving her reaction speed significantly. - Thought Energy Amplification: This piece of technology increases the intensity of Paige's brain waves, thereby increasing the thought energy behind them and strengthening her telekinetic abilities. While a significant boot in raw strength, it didn't increase her stamina, so lifting heavy objects still leaves her exhausted. In addition to that, she hasn't learned to decrease the intensity of her thoughts yet, so even small objects can cause her to become exhausted quickly, with all of the excess thought energy being wasted. - Physical Augmentation: Paige's body, especially her limbs, has been upgraded with basic technology that slightly improves her strength and speed. These aren't as effective as some other pieces of technology because they are entirely internal, meaning she still has her own body parts. The main focus with giving her this improvement was to make some use of her physical talents and to increase her durability, as her slight frame does put her at something of a disadvantage against vampires without it. -
Equipment:
- - Knife: Made of an iridium-silver alloy, Paige's extendable knife is easy to hide when slipping past security checkpoints and the like, as it's casing prevents it from being picked up by metal detectors or x-rays. But, with the razor-sharp, vibrating edge, it has an easy time ending the lives of vampires with a good thrust or slash, so long as said attack is in the right location. - Darts: Cheap to produce and easy for Paige to manipulate telekinetically, these are her go-to long-range weapon. A silver tip ensures that, while it might not be enough to kill a vampire, it will certainly sting a little upon contact. They can also be filled with a tranquilizer or venom to fit different roles and improve upon their versatility. - Jammer: Paige only has this tool as a plan B in case attempts at peaceful infiltration and assassination go sour. Made with the latest technology and materials, it functions in a similar manner to a directed EMP, allowing her to short-circuit surveillance cameras and other pesky machines that threaten to reveal her location or identity to the enemy. - Neural Stunner: A short-range device that can be used to knock someone out to remove them as an obstacle. This is Paige's preferred way of dealing with innocent civilians who get in the way or are under the figurative thumb of the vampires. It is very effective at knocking an individual out with one pulse, and typically leaves them with no memory of the event. The downside is that it only has four charges to it unless she can recharge it. Also, touching the victim too soon can also result in her knocking herself out, as the energy spreads into her. - Knock-out Gas: This is the last resort of Paige's equipment for those situations where things just don't go as they're supposed to. There is enough gas in the canister to cover a hundred-square foot area without compromising effectiveness. The gas is potent enough to render most people unconscious within thirty seconds of inhalation. Of course, it doesn't work on anyone with the aerial toxin filter or vampires, and she also only has one on her at any given time. Multiples are just too pricey to allow at once.

Let me know if I need to change anything. :D
