Vlyn smirked slightly; he had struck a nerve, it seemed. Still, while the blade was direct, his resolve was not, and Vlyn was larger, longer, stronger, and faster. His claw clashed with the blade, and her managed to grab it. "Really, Sky Pirate, I thought you were a little smarter than that." He said, raising an eyebrow. "Tell me, what changed your mind? Did you like what you saw? Did her power intrigue you?" Meanwhile the two girls were going at it. Nadeline sure was a lot faster than Emiri remembered; each jab came like cactuar needles, precise and numerous. Still, she was predictable, and her anger made her sloppy. At one of Nadeline's thrusts, Emiri sidestepped it with ease. She brought up her own sword, parrying the attack and sending Nadeline back. As her rapier wasn't as strong as Emiri's Longsword, she staggered back: and that left her open. Instead of striking with her blade, however, she merely kicked her in the stomach, sending her backwards reeling. Emiri approached Nadeline, shaking her head. "What, is that all?" She couldn't help but laugh a little--all talk and no bite, huh? Nadeline glared at her, though something else caught her attention. Emiri turned around in time to see a Blizzaga cast. Emiri barely dodged it, frost forming on her cheek as it whizzed past, exploding into several icicles behind her. She brought up her sword as a Viera clad in silver clothing approached them, another Blizzaga at her fingertips. "That is all for her; now, I am your opponent." Aloa spoke. "Stay put, Your Highness, we will handle this." And with that she broke into a run. The brunette charged at the Viera. Aloa released the Blizzaga, though Emiri leapt back. As it erupted, Aloa kicked through it, lunging at Emiri. Her heel collided with her sword; the Viera had a lot more power in her leg then Emiri did in both arms. She was pushed back slightly, and as she spotted Aloa preparing another spell, she pushed off, backing away. Aloa seized the moment and swung her leg. It was another close call, mirroring the Blizzaga as Aloa's heel pierced through the frost on her cheek. She has zero charge time for her spells, it seems. Emiri grimly noted as another spell laced around Aloa's fingers, rubbing her cheek on her shoulder. She thought it was another Blizzaga and prepared to jump back. As it sang through the air, however, she noticed it was missing its cool (literally). She jumped back, but the spell followed, forming above her, and the Water spell drenched her. This is what I get for not studying black magic. The torrent was strong, and Emiri felt like she was drowning despite not being underwater. She stepped out, only to barely bring up her sword in time for Aloa's sweeping kick. Her sword was slippery in her hand, and she had to grip it with both hands lest it slip away. The Viera smirked, raising one leg, and Emiri noticed something was dripping from it. Before she could make sense of it, however, Aloa leapt into the air, and she fired off multiple Blizzard spells. Emiri swatted them away, but couldn't help but wonder why she didn't keep using Blizzaga. She went to step forward, and realized that Aloa wasn't aiming for her; she was still drenched from the Water spell, and her feet were quite literally frozen to the ground. She could feel her clothes sticking to her, her movements becoming rigid, and soon Emiri was little more than a popsicle. Aloa landed on the ground, flipping her hair. "You stay put while I save Vlyn." She spoke, walking past Emiri. ------ "No signs of activity, sir." One soldier saluted Roman. He sighed, scratching his head. They were at a stalemate, so to speak. As much as he agreed that Jaakuna had his choice, he sort of wished he had stayed to speak to Savayna. Not that he wasn't a negotiator, but the woman was, in his opinion, absolutely mad. He couldn't read her at all, if she had just waited until morning, she could've gotten her way, perhaps. Was she so desperate to get the ship back? Or was it something else? With a heavy sigh, Roman walked to the entrance of the Aerodome. "Send word that I am here, if they don't know already. I wish to discuss the terms of her surrender." He said rather cheerfully. "...Sir, don't you mean the terms of negotiation?" "Nope. Go on now, don't be shy." The soldier was quite confused, but followed the Marquis' orders. Another soldier approached him, one that was not involved with what was going on. "My Lord! A fight seems to have broken out in the streets between a man and a woman and another woman and a male Viera." "Ignore it." "...Uh, sir, are you sure?" "Indeed I am. This is slightly more important. Don't worry, the worst that will happen is them killing one another, civilians won't get involved, I assure you." Roman reassured the soldier. Savayna, whatever it is that you're thinking, you're stepping on dangerous territory...
