Sharon was a smart girl; some of the highest test scores for S.H.I.E.L.D. and quite a few other tests as well. So figuring out how to tell someone who she really was should be a piece of cake. Unless you’ve developed a hint of feelings for them that could easily expand into more than just a playful crush. Now she was face to face with her neighbor she was having a crush on, who was her Aunt’s crush from over 70 years ago and was the symbol of freedom for all of America. Oh yeah, this should be simple… The blonde banged her wet forehead lightly against the wall of the shower. How could she have been so stupid?! Why did it have to be Steve Rogers, who is Captain America, to be the one she had to look after? Why her?! Anyone else could have done it, but it had to be her! Nick Fury assigned her to it knowing who he was and who was within her family. Her head banged against the wall once more. This would be a lot simpler if she wasn’t crushing on him. But she had to tell him… she had to. She loved what she had with him as Sharon Carter but would like to be honest and open with him. God her crush was Captain America! It was her childhood all over again… expect she kissed him in her living room and at her door. That, was a bit different than childhood. Letting out a long sigh she turned off the water after scrubbing herself clean with her cinnamon scenting bath wash and shampoo/conditioner. She climbed out of the shower wrapping her toned body in a towel and putting her hair up. Her glasses and everything lay on her bed as she stepped out of her bathroom and was about to head towards the open door. That was until she heard a knock on her front door and her body jerked in that direction, instantly walking towards the door out of curiosity on who could be there. When she got to the door was when the knock came again, this time louder and a call of her name echoed throughout her home. So, something that was unexpected to her and probably even more so to the man on the other side of the door, the blonde pulled it open without giving much thought to the fact that she was standing in just a towel, well two if you count the one in her hair, in the doorway. “Steve, just who I wanted to talk to…” Of course she cut herself off when she felt some of the water drip down from the towel around her head onto her shoulder and her face turned flaming red and she slammed the door in his face. “For obvious reasons….” She called out, her voice filled with embarrassment and a small embarrassed laugh, “I need to change. Please count to five than let yourself in.” With that, the blonde hurried into the bedroom and changed in her outfit she had walked into the house with. Debating on pulling her hair back into a bun she left her hair up in the towel and slid the new glasses onto her face. God this was going to be hard; how… how to start. Sighing softly she looked around, grabbing an item from her nightstand and holding it to her as she stepped outside to find Steve had made his way into her apartment. “Please sit.” She said softly gesturing to the couch. As they sat down together she turned to face him. “Tell me, do you recognize this person in the photo with me?” With that she handed him the photo she had taken from her bedroom. It was a picture of her and her aunt when her aunt was about seventy. Still young looking and spunky but with wrinkles and laugh lines showing that she had a good and happy life; her aunt still looked lovely even at her old age. Taking in a deep breathe Sharon said one simple statement, basically testing to see if the man behind the Captain America mask was really her Steve Rogers from next door. “That’s the woman I’ve been telling you about; that’s my aunt.”
