Didn't he get a hard on during the fight? Or did I mix him up with another character? I distinctly remember someone who was thrilled at being able to fight.

Plus, I was more working off the idea that he's unloading more adrenaline than normal, sooooo....let's call this where his condition gets worse? Or something?
