[i]In the beginning, their was one being. This being harnessed the power of the Imploding Vortex encompassing The Void to create The Universe, sacrificing his life in exchange. Using the last of his power, he isolated one planet capable of sustaining life and gave it two beings, two Deity's, to watch over it. They were named Nature and Civilisation. However, his mistake was in creating them as beings with free thought. For these beings sought dominion instead of collaboration. war instead of peace. One of these beings was called Civilisation, while his opposition was called Nature. A long battle was fought between the two, the planet remaining barren and lifeless in the intermediary, until finally there came a day where Nature gained the upper-hand. Nature drove Civilisation into a corner where, with a desperate last attempt of self preservation, he created a huge island, placing it inside a barrier where nature could not reach. Deciding to retreat, Nature focused on creating and controlling the rest of her world, before once again turning her eyes on Civilisation. By this time Civilisation had made a thriving city full of a species called 'humans' just as twisted as its creator. Civilisation had found a way to imbue his power given by The One into humans created, however the effect varied from person to person. nature saw a powerful threat rising, and decided to manipulate her creatures so that they could harness her powers as well. It was not until both Civilisation and nature found themselves slumbering in their homes did they realise their grave mistake. It was up to their creations to do the job for them, as their manipulation on the world is a shadow of what it was when they were awake.[/i] there are four factions [hider=Nature] The creations of the Diety who won the war. Nature created the rest of the world to her liking before joining Civilisation in a deep slumber. Nature is automatically aggressive to any humans besides class 0 that get thrown out, if you are nearby you automatically seek to kill these people. While you can control it to some extent, the most powerful beings can control their natural urges for months, eventually you will be forced to attack them until they die. You can be any sort of species that lives naturally in the wild (that is, your attributes have to be somewhat representative of wildlife survival). Nature have one ability, up to your choosing. They are also supported by Nature, in what way is up to you remember the Diety is slumbering). [/hider] [hider=Civilisation] Brought to near death, Civlisation's last ditch attempt of survival created the small island known as the Capital. This Capital, while originally barren as the rest of the world, eventually became a bustling city through the work of a species he made known as 'humans'. He imbued humans with powers, each power varying from person to person, and also gave them a class system. This system is simple, when you are born you are marked from 1-6. Any class higher then you can control you. The punishment for disobeying a command from a higher class is death. This is reinforced by Civilisation himself, who created these rules using the power granted by The One, an omnipotent being. This means that the rule is active everywhere, you cannot hide and hope it magically goes away. Recently a class 0 has been surfacing, however not much is known about them cause class 6 throws the abomination out immediately. Civilisation have one ability, up to your choosing. They are also supported by Civilisation, in what way is up to you (remember, the Diety is sleeping). [/hider] [hider=Class 0] A mix of both Nature and Civilisation, class 0 were thrown out of the Capital the second their branding was revealed. Rejected by Civilisation, ignored by Nature, these beings are left to their own devices. Some seek to spend their time harnessing their powers, others seek to simply survive day by day, and a third group have sought to fight the Tyranny they've seen in the Capital. Class 0 have two abilities, up to your choosing. [/hider] [hider=The Branded] Just as Civilisation had a Class 0, Nature had The branded. Beings twisted in form. Engraved in their flesh is a Brand of unknown origins, its shape is a circle with the shape of a creature in the middle. These beings were immediately rejected by Nature, but not attacked. It was decided they they were to be left to their own devices for now. The Branded have two abilities, one is a shapeshift into the animal branded into them (no restrictions, can shapeshift whenever or forever) while the other is up to your choosing. [/hider] [i]I'D JUST LIKE TO MAKE AN AGGRESSIVE NOTE:[/i] everything I'm putting in here, besides the world and the general information on how the world works (including the four factions), is simply information you can use. You do not need to follow this. You could be a class 0 whose living day by day in the capital because your mother was a class 6 who refused to let you go. You could be a class 1 living in Nature, whose ability was the power to calm beings, stopping their primal urges to massacre you. You could be part of nature who snuck into the Capital through your teleportation ability and is slowly seeding a rebellion in the Capital. I digress, my point is you can be anything you want in this world. You are not limited by power, you are not limited by information, YOU decide who you will be; not the world. Hell you could even be a maid whose power is cooking pumpkin soup that talks and then you provide supportive help to a band of gang members who are running a small part of Class 2's area but secretly you're a spy for a class 6 organisation known as the 'pumpkin soup lovers' and are trying to gather information to incriminate the gang. [i]ANOTHER AGGRESSIVE NOTE:[/i]I would also like to point out that interaction is not required in this roleplay either. You could decide to have a solo adventure where you react to the world changing because of some other groups adventure. Or you could have an adventure with literally everyone else. [i]last note:[/i] You can have overpowered abilities (and underpowered ones), however the use and limitation of such abilities needs to be properly managed. Any game-breaking elements will be considered null and void. To make it simpler, there are three things you must do. Outside of these, you are free to do whatever you want: - You must be in one of the four factions. - You must have only one ability in the nature or Civilisation factions, or two abilities in The Branded (one the shapeshift) and Class 0 factions.
