When Steve asked if Peggy Carter was her aunt she nodded in response. Sharon took in a deep breath and held it, unsure of how the rest of the rest of this was going to play out; his laugh seemed discomforted and her heart sank into her stomach. She didn’t want to tell him… but she liked him, and she didn’t want to continue a lie. “I know a lot about S.H.I.E.L.D.” She said softly leaning back against the couch. Her gaze moved to her lap as she played with her fingers. “My aunt talked a lot about you. You meant a lot to her. I don’t think there was a day where you weren’t on her mind. She admired you so much and cared for you deeply. Your inspiration is what got her to help start S.H.I.E.L.D. I grew up hearing stories about you from my Aunt and we really bonded and connected as I grew up. She meant a lot to me so losing her was very hard on me as I’m sure it was you.” She adjusted herself slightly against the couch, her right shoulder resting against the couch and her blue eyes stared at him from behind the glasses. Sharon knew she was about to bite the bullet but she couldn’t live with the guilt when she was developing feeling for him. “I know more about S.H.I.E.L.D. then you’re aware of. If I had known who you were Steve, I… I wouldn’t have taken the job. Director Fury said that it was just to watch over my neighbor and make sure he was adapting to life well. I thought that met a soldier returning home from the war. Not thee soldier adapting to life in the present day. And…” She let out a small cough as she reached up, pulling the towel from her head, her damp hair fell from the towel as she placed it on the coffee table. “You did see me today… more than once.” With that she took off her glasses and placed them on the coffee table as well. Her blue gaze turned to him; her eyes slightly watered as she held her breathe watching his face and waiting his reaction. Just like that she went from Sharon, his neighbor to Agent 13 who he had met in the warehouse but, they were one in the same.
