You know, you don't have to introduce yourself in character. All of the RP happens in the different subcategories of Roleplay, not in the Introduce Yourself bit.

Anyway, the category you're looking for is Arena. Which is good, those of us who enjoy Arena are pretty small in number, though all of us are passionate about it. If you start up an Arena thread, I'd enter it.
