Her crying had stopped from a barely controlled sob to minimal sniffles but still tears. Her blue eyes nearly exploding with color from her face due to the glossy coding of her tears. Her body turned to face him, leaning herself against the door that she was still holding open. As much as she didn’t want him to leave, she had too much respect for the man to try to force him to stay. “I don’t quite follow the media. Plus I see Mister Stark more than I’d like too and I spend a lot of my free time… if you call it free time,” She said as a side note to herself, realizing that was a poor choice of words. “In Doctor Banner’s lab and go shooting with Black Widow.” A small shrug lifted and fell her shoulders as she sniffled softly before continuing. “I was raised hearing stories about you and one of the biggest things I was taught was ‘If it was going to admire you, I should admire you for your work and allow you to be an individual outside of your work.’ That being said, I never saw a photo of you outside of your uniform, I never went looking for you or asked around to see who you really were. I wanted to meet you yes, to shake your hand and say thank you but I wanted you to have your privacy….” Her gaze flicked to the floor again, her toe style making the infinity symbol. Oh yeah go ahead and admit that you wanted to track him down just to shake his hand, that doesn’t scream desperate or pathetic at all… geeze. She mentally kicked herself before turning her gaze back up to him, after the mental kick her cheeks turned a small shade of pink. “Maybe I’m the only one who thinks like that now-a-days but sometimes old fashion ways of thinking are the best.” A small, small smile played across her lips for the first time since they started talking about this. She wanted him to have his privacy as Steve Rogers, but she wouldn’t mind being involved with that privacy, as Sharon Carter and not Agent 13.
