It was interesting listening to Peter talk. He talked with such a passion for his home planet and it made her long for her own. How she missed Metra! The smell of the planet, the feel of the breeze against her face, the calm feeling of the ocean against her feet on the sands, her mother’s cooking and her father’s laugh. There were so many amazing things on the planet from food to animals to individuals; it was a shame to think she was the only one left… When he began to name off things about the people in the room, she stole quick glances in the direction of his pointing to try and figure out who he was talking about. But just as quickly as she glanced she was looking forward again. She had been around enough muggers attempting to get her stuff that she learned not to give someone too much of a break, between her paying attention to her stuff and not. Surprise lightly made its way over her face as he mentioned she had some terran in her. Normally people couldn’t point that out, but she was eating potatoes and it didn’t seem forced or uncomfortable for her. Her mom brought potatoes to Metra and helped the people grow it so she didn’t think anything of it. Funny how things are so different on each planet; even more funny is that she didn’t catch that he was leaning closer to her. She was only used to the blatant ‘hey you’re hot let’s going bump uglies’ so to her he was just being nice and complementing her… if she knew what he was actually doing… well it would be hard to know how she would react. Her brain began to register that he was leaning forward and before she could say something about it, the door to the bar flew open and two people entered yelling his name. Wow today was full of surprises that’s for sure. Her chocolate gaze flicked from him to the men who entered yelling his name, than back to him in time to see his face freeze and hear him say shit as his head dropped. For the first time in a long time, Nikki did her best she could not to laugh. It was funny; he seemed rather caught off guard by their sudden appearance. As you can imagine, for someone in her boat hearing the discussion of money, much less tens of thousands of units catch her attention as well. As her gaze shot from the two men back to Peter, suddenly he became a lot more interesting than a guy who happened to be buying her drink. Before she could say anything they went flying thanks to the jet boots on his feet. “Are they Star-Lords in training?” She asked as the men crashed against the wall and slid down. Her toned body leaned back against the bar top, the drink casually sitting in her hand as if she was watching a movie at home on the couch. “Because I don’t think they’ll be able to get up there with you.” “WHAT?!” The orange skinned man said in an angry tone as he rose to his feet, the other guy quickly behind him. “Basically I’m saying he’s better than you.” She said in such a causal manner while taking a drink of her beer, a single eye open to watch the men. The rose their guns to fire and she raised her hand, slapping the air; only to use her telekinetic abilities to send the guns flying out of their hands with an unexpected amount of force. Shock read all over their face as it happened, not many people see a Metra anymore and if they didn’t know their species, she’d just look like some crazy dark skinned girl who liked to dye her hair blue… who apparently had telekinetic powers. Though most Metras were pale. “Can we please not fight?” She said innocently, as if it was going to make a difference; even if it did she chugged the last of her beer, placed the glass down and cracked her knuckles. If they were going to fight, she was ready but she wasn't going to let Peter Quill out of her sight until she found out where the funds were to be had; she needed the money and if it meant follow him... well there were worse routes.
